Following up with one-on-one face to face mentoring on the college campus providing assistance in obtaining special education accommodations, required under Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, meeting assignment deadlines, staying organized and receiving good grades.
Our Vision: Many students do not have the required skills, such as time management, problem solving abilities and executive functioning skills to meet the challenges of college life. In addition, most students do not have the communication skills needed to communicate with faculty and instructors in order to solve problems regarding assignments or tests. Mentoring To Succeed can assist students in managing the overwhelming challenges of college life. The student’s lack of these important skills creates critical barriers to prevent their success in college. These required skills can be taught by Mentoring To Succeed personnel who understand each individual and can assist each student to achieve their desired goals and be successful.
Mentoring to Succeed serves students with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder(ADHD), a learning disability, anxiety, asperger’s disorder or any disabilty/deficit that may interfere with their success in high school or college.
