MENTORING TO SUCCEED is a program of services provided to guide and support high school and college students facing the challenges of transitioning to post secondary education. The program is designed to facilitate the successful outcome of the students educational goals.
Mark Maxwell is the Executive Director for Mentoring To Succeed. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from San Diego State University. He has received training in Asperger’s Syndrome, Anxiety Disorders, ADHD, Learning Disabilities, Depression and Executive Functioning. He has completed the Special Education Advocacy training at the University of San Diego. He has extensive training and knowledge regarding accommodations for college students covered by the Section 504 Rehabilitation Act of 1973.
Dr. Jessica Maxwell is the Program Coordinator for Mentoring To Succeed. Dr. Maxwell is a licensed clinical psychologist and educational consultant with 40 years of extensive experience working with children, adolescents and families. Dr. Maxwell has expertise designing and developing Individual Transition Plans, IEPs, 504 Accommodation Plans and accommodations related to the Section 504 Rehabilitation Act for post secondary education. Dr. Maxwell also provides Educational and Psychological Testing and has extensive knowledge in Executive Functioning Skills.
